Quilting the Rainbow

DSC_0889Another project is getting close to completion.  I used a new technique for the binding using two fabrics.  Here is the link on how to do it. I love the piped effect of a contrasting fabric to the rainbow.  It turned out so cool.  (Okay so cool dates me, deal with it).  I’m quilting this one with a modified Baptist Fan.  It’s turning out nicely.

I love this little quilt.  Although it was intended for the women’s shelter, I’m really considering keeping it.  DSC_0890It’s very cute.

Genesis 9:13

I have set my bow in the clouds, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Thanks so much. I saw a tutorial for it on another blog (that I can’t find now to link for credit) and thought this would be the perfect project to try it on. I do love the backing too. It turned out to be quite a cohesive design. I’m really pleased with it.

  2. Log cabin blocks are such fun to make, aren’t they? Please show us the quilting when you get that done. Your choice of a modified Baptist fan sounds like a nice contrast against the angles in the log cabin blocks.

Log cabin blocks are fun. The ladies are doing them for this season’s project. There are so many unique and fun results. I should be done Monday. The pictures will be up when I am.
      Thanks for stopping in.
